Aadhaar and MGNREGA are made for each other

Centre terms linking mobile numbers to Aadhaar an incentive

The Centre will start linking of mobile SIM cards with Aadhaar numbers in the next two months which would be an incentive for subscribers as they can avail a host of services, a top government official said. The linking of Aadhaar number with mobile SIM cards would enable the subscribers to use a host of services including financial transactions. The government does not intend to make the process mandatory and wants to create a secure eco-system. The government wants to undertake seeding of mobile SIMs with Aadhaar numbers to deal with misuse of technology for diversion of subsidies, various criminal acts including terrorism and extortion as well as for making financial transactions on mobile more fool proof and robust. “Whichever telephone gets linked to Aadhaar, the user can actually use it to participate in all transactions. AADHAAR Card Form Download

AADHAAR card form is absolutely free. There are  no charges for the AADHAAR card form . You can get the AADHAAR card form at the center itself, or you may download the AADHAAR card form online. You may  download the AADHAAR card form  by clicking on the link below. Although you can get the AADHAAR card form at the center as well, you may download and fill the AADHAAR card form beforehand to save time at the center. To download AADHAAR card form online,  click here . If you want AADHAAR card form in your local language, select appropriate option from the top menu under "Form".

AADHAAR Card for Kids and Children,

Children & kids above 1 year of age can apply for AADHAAR card. Kids' biometrics data, such as finger prints, keep changing frequently upto 5 years of age. Therefore no biometric data will be collected for kids below 5 years age. For children below 5 years age, the AADHAAR card will be linked to their guardian / parents. When the child turns 5 years age, his/her biometric data will be collected and linked to his/her AADHAAR card. When the child turn 15 years age, his/her final biometric data will be taken once again (for the last time) and linked to the AADHAAR card. For kids, proof of Date of Birth document is necessary. Either parent, who has applied for AADHAAR card, can introduce their children for AADHAAR card. For that the introducing parent's Proof of Identity and Proof of Address document will need to be submitted for the kid's AADHAAR card. AADHAAR Card Documents Requirement

UIDAI accepts several  "Proof of Identity", "Proof of Address" and "Proof of Date of Birth" documents  for AADHAAR card. Below you will find a nationally valid list of supported AADHAAR card documents. You will need to carry the original AADHAAR card documents to the AADHAAR card center for cross verification. Your original documents will be returned back to you immediately after verification with corresponding xerox copies at the center. You will need just 1 document for "Proof of Identity", 1 document for "Proof of Address" and 1 document for "Proof of Date of Birth". Please take 1 xerox copy of each of the supporting AADHAAR card documents you are submitting for AADHAAR card and submit it along with the AADHAAR card application form. Depending upon the AADHAAR card change request, a self attested supporting document will needed. To change Name in AADAAR card a Proof of Identity document is required. To change Address in AADAAR card a Proof of Address document is required. To change Date of Birth in AADAAR card a Proof of Date of Birth document is required. Your name must be clearly mentioned below the signatures/thumbprint when self attesting the documents. Aadhaar not mandatory for MGNREGA wages  The Ministry of Rural Development on Tuesday directed the States not to deny workers job cards under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act for non-possession of either bank/post office account numbers or the Aadhaar card. The instructions, a copy of which is available with The Hindu , say it is the responsibility of the MGNREGA Programme Officer in the States to help workers obtain Aadhaar numbers. The directives follow an affidavit filed by activist Jean Dreze in the Supreme Court on denial of wages in Khunti district of Jharkhand to a few labourers without Aadhaar cards. “This is a violation of the Supreme Court’s interim order, dated September 23, 2013, which states ‘no person should suffer for not getting the Aadhaar card ...’.” The affidavit mentioned a specific case in Tirla gram panchayat, where three of the 22 workers who worked on land development at Belahati from December 19 to 25 last did

Aadhaar enrolment to be completed by June 2015

The process of enrolment for Aadhaar cards in Gurgaon is expected to be completed by June 2015. This was stated in a meeting organised by Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Gurgaon (MCG) Vikas Yadav and Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) Administrator Ashok Sangwan at the Mini Secretariat here. Almost 70 per cent of the population has been enrolled for Aadhaar so far. It was decided in the meeting that the MCG will involve councillors in Aadhaar preparation task as out of a total estimated pendency of 4.15 lakh population, the majority are from urban areas. Mr. Yadav said MCG officers will also be deputed to monitor the preparation of Aadhaar cards.
